At Pangaea, we believe that the most meaningful learning happens beyond the classroom. Our educational journey to Japan was designed to immerse students in new cultures, inspire curiosity, and provide hands-on experiences that foster personal growth and global awareness.
Each destination introduced students to a different side of Japan, creating one connected learning experience.
The journey began in Tokyo, where students explored the city’s unique blend of tradition and innovation. From the iconic streets of Shibuya and Harajuku to the immersive digital art exhibition at teamLab Planets, students experienced how creativity, technology, and culture come together to shape modern Japan.
The group then traveled to Toyone Village, one of the most memorable parts of the program. Here, students stayed in a traditional Japanese ryokan, experiencing authentic Japanese hospitality and gaining insight into the country’s customs and way of life.
Living in a traditional setting allowed them to appreciate the simplicity, respect, and attention to detail that define Japanese culture.
During their time in Toyone, students also took part in community volunteering activities and visited the local school, where they interacted with Japanese students through cultural exchange and collaborative activities.
These experiences encouraged meaningful conversations, new friendships, and a deeper appreciation for different perspectives while highlighting the importance of service and community engagement.
The journey continued to Kyoto, where students explored Japan’s rich cultural heritage. They visited historic landmarks, participated in a Samurai experience, and traveled aboard the world-renowned Shinkansen bullet train, witnessing firsthand the country’s remarkable achievements in engineering and transportation.
The program concluded with a day at Tokyo DisneySea, giving students the opportunity to celebrate the friendships, memories, and experiences they had built throughout the journey.
