Climbing Higher: A Field Training Journey in the Heights of Ala Archa
In the rugged, breathtaking landscapes of Ala Archa National Park in Kyrgyzstan, a unique field training journey unfolded for a group of participants from the “Naho Al-Qimam” (Towards the Summits) program — a powerful experience built around discipline, leadership, resilience, and self-discovery.
Beyond Adventure
This was more than just a mountain adventure — it was a transformative experience. Amid the snow-capped peaks and narrow trails, participants underwent intensive physical and mental training, blending challenge, teamwork, and inner discipline.
The journey aimed to:
-
Strengthen team dynamics.
-
Test endurance in extreme environments.
-
Enhance skills in planning, time management, and decision-making under pressure.
-
Deepen appreciation for silence, accountability, and self-reliance.
Inside the Experience
The expedition began from a mountain base camp in upper Ala Archa, where participants learned the fundamentals of high-altitude camping, survival in shifting weather conditions, and the use of mountaineering gear.
Highlights included:
-
On-ground workshops led by coach Saud Al-Aidi, focused on mental focus and personal discipline.
-
Hiking and climbing sessions across rocky and icy terrains.
-
Overnight camping in tents at high altitudes, building patience and adaptability.
-
Pre-dawn reflections, enhancing self-awareness and spiritual mindfulness in the serenity of nature.
Lessons Etched in the Peaks
Participants returned not only stronger in body but sharper in mind and spirit. The mountains taught them that the path to the summit is not always fast or easy, but it is built through persistence, clarity, and inner strength.
“Towards the Summits” — More Than a Name
“Naho Al-Qimam” wasn’t just a slogan on their gear. It became a symbol of every step they took, every moment of silence they embraced, and every challenge that shaped their way forward.
