In the morning, set out on an easy two-hour trek up sacred Mount Bayan-Khongor, leading to the 33-meter Buddha – the largest in Russia. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking landscapes and sweeping views from the summit. In the evening, immerse yourself in the Steppe Nomad ethno-complex, where you’ll discover the richness of Buryat culture and traditions through an authentic experience.
Visit the heart of Russian Buddhism at the Ivolginsky Datsan, spending the morning exploring sacred stories of the lamas and the monastery’s rich spiritual heritage. Later, meet a Rinpoche near the city and enjoy a serene sunset experience. In the evening, embark on a scenic journey aboard the legendary Trans-Siberian Railway, traveling from Ulan-Ude to the vibrant city of Irkutsk.
Arrive in Irkutsk and transfer to Olkhon Island, reaching the charming village of Khuzhir. Take time to rest, then enjoy a leisurely walk around the area, exploring local traditions of the shamans and visiting the most sacred site of Lake Baikal – the legendary Shamanka Rock.
Explore the icy treasures of southern Lake Baikal, walking across dozens of types of stunning ice formations. Witness a magical sunset at the stupa on Ogoy Island. Today’s adventure takes you across the frozen lake aboard a hovercraft, offering a unique perspective of Baikal’s winter beauty.
Venture to the northern outskirts, away from crowds, to experience the breathtaking panorama from sacred Cape Khoboy. Marvel at the endless “Big Sea of Baikal” and the pristine natural surroundings. Spend a relaxing half-day enjoying the serene atmosphere of Lake Baikal, soaking in its magical vibes. Around early afternoon (13:00–14:00), transfer back to Irkutsk. Check in at the centrally located hotel and unwind after your unforgettable Baikal experience.

• Credit Cards: Visa and Mastercard are not accepted in Russia. We strongly advise you to obtain a UnionPay credit card, which you can get from Alinma Bank or Alahli Bank and allows you to withdraw cash easily in Russia.

Tips
Tipping in Russia :
- Restaurants: A standard tip is around 10-15% of the total bill. Some restaurants may include a service charge, so it’s essential to check your bill.
- Hotels:Tipping hotel staff is customary. You can tip porters around 30-90 Rubbles per bag and leave a gratuity for housekeeping, typically around 60-120 Rubbles per day.
- Tour Guides/Drivers: For guided tours or transportation services, tipping is appreciated. You can tip tour guides and drivers around 300 Rubbles per day, depending on the service.
- Taxi Drivers:Tipping taxi drivers is common, and rounding up the fare is acceptable. 10% Maximum.
