Travel Requirement

• Excellent physical fitness is required, as the climb (both ascent and descent) takes approximately 10–13 hours.
• Participants must be free from heart conditions, diabetes, and respiratory or lung diseases.
• Participants must be between 18 and 60 years of age.

Currency and Payment

The currency used for payments is the Omani Rial (OMR)
Payment Methods:

Cash: In mountainous and rural areas like Jebel Shams and Jebel Akhdar, credit card payments are often limited or unavailable. It’s advisable to carry Omani Rials in cash to cover your expenses during the trip.

Credit/Debit Cards: Credit cards can sometimes be used in larger hotels or some shops in major cities like Muscat and Salalah, but in rural and remote areas like Jebel Shams, cash is the most common payment method.

Important Note: There are no flights from Saudi Arabia arriving at a suitable time on October 24. Therefore, it is recommended to book your travel for October 23 and arrange your own accommodation. Staying at Swiss-Belinn Muscat is advised, as it will be the meeting point for the trip.
