Cash: In mountainous and rural areas like Jebel Shams and Jebel Akhdar, credit card payments are often limited or unavailable. It’s advisable to carry Omani Rials in cash to cover your expenses during the trip.
Credit/Debit Cards: Credit cards can sometimes be used in larger hotels or some shops in major cities like Muscat and Salalah, but in rural and remote areas like Jebel Shams, cash is the most common payment method.
Saudi Citizens don't need a visa to enter Oman
Tipping in Oman is not mandatory, but it is considered a thoughtful gesture to show appreciation for good service
